Jamie Mitchell
Jamie Mitchell serves as a divorce and family law attorney at Mitchell Highlander, LLC, as well as one of the firm’s principal attorneys. With over fifteen years of experience handling family law matters, she is well versed in assisting clients with complex custody and financial issues. She has extensive trial experience and is very successful at negotiating settlements.
Her approach to cases is to spend time determining the client’s goals and developing a strategy to achieve those goals. She says, “Every family is different, and every case is different. This is not a one-size-fits-all situation. I want every client to get the result that works best for them. This means spending time with the client discussing their needs and their kids’ needs. Then, figuring out the solution that meets those needs.”
She loves working with military families and on complex financial cases, particularly small business owners.

Amanda G. Highlander
Amanda G. Highlander represents clients in a wide range of domestic relations and family law matters, from parental allocation and modification to dissolutions and adoptions. As a parent and spouse, she understands the importance of the issues clients are facing when they seek legal advice in their matter.
Amanda is always focused on obtaining the best outcome possible for her clients whether that is through negotiating a settlement or taking a case to trial. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem for parenting allocation matters in Madison County.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. Amanda is admitted to the bars of Missouri and Illinois.
An Edwardsville native, Amanda is active in the community and is proud to have served on the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois, and the Board of Directors for the Metro East Humane.

Megan E. Kreke
Megan represents clients in divorce, family and adoption matters. As a passionate family lawyer, Megan prioritizes understanding her clients goals and recognizes that every family and their situation is different.
Megan received her Bachelor of Arts from Illinois State University and her Juris Doctorate from University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Megan is currently admitted to the Illinois Bar and Florida Bar.
Megan presently serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Madison County, Illinois. Megan has also completed over 40-hours of domestic violence training with Oasis Women’s Center in Alton, Illinois, and currently serves on the Board of the Metro East Every Survivor Counts.
Megan happily resides in Madison County with her husband, their daughter and two dogs. Megan grew up in O’Fallon, Illinois, so she is glad to be working in the community that she grew up in and serving the people of St. Clair, Madison and Bond counties.
